" ANG KAHALAGAHAN NG PAGIGING KRISTIYANO "
Iniingatan ng kanyang Kapangyarihan

INTRODUCTION
a. isang taong ipinanganak muli, isang taong namumuhay ng bagong buhay
a. Sabi niya “And God in His mighty power, will make sure “ that you get there safely to receive it , because you are trusting in Him

Satan works like a counterfeit Christ. He is just around not to comfort us or strengthen us but to trouble us as we obey. He also has his own workers but unlike the workers of Jesus Christ his workers misleads even us. He misleads through the false righteousness of his workers and in 1 Tim 4.1-3, he also misleads through false doctrine.

Panginoon ay dinescribe sa 1 Pet 5.10 na "the God of all grace" o’
our God who is full of kindness through Christ” We are not
alone in our resistance; He stands ready to assist us. This leads to
our next point

II. MAY PROVISION ANG ATING PANGINOON, ANG ATING
PROTECTION

A. ANG ATING DIYOS AY ANG ATING KATULONG...
1. Binigay Niya sa atin si Jesu kristo:He gave us His son the Lord Jesus Christ.

a. una bilang tagapamagitan - 1 Ti 2:5

1 Tim. 2:5
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

b. pangalawa , bilang ating tagapagtanggol- 1 Jn 2:1,2

1 John 2:1-2
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: [2] And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world

c. pangatlo bilang maawain at tapat na sacerdote - He 2:17-18

Hebrews 2:17-18
Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. [18] For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

He therefore provides a way of
escape:

a. Tinuruan niya tayo paano umiwas sa tukso, sabi nga Niya

Mt 26:41
“maglamay kayo at manalangin upang makaiwas kayo sa tukso”

1 Cor 10:13

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Nakakapanghawak.

1. kaya natin
2. at may daan upang tayo ay makatakas nito.

Hindi lang Katulong natin ang ating Diyos
B. ANG DIYOS siya ring ATING TAGUMPAY...

Our confidence comes from God's power, not our own.

Phil. 4:13
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

He provides power that is greater than Satan‘s power.
Eph. 3:16,20
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man…. 20. (NIV)Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us….

He also gave us ETERNAL SECURITY...

The Bible teaches the security of the believer. No one can snatch a
believer out of the hand of God and nothing can
separate a believer from the love of Christ

John 10:28-29
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. [29] My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. cf- Ro 8:35-39
Note carefully: these promises are for one who is a
believer!

ANG RESPONSIBILIDAD NATIN AY PAKINGGAN SIYA AT GAWIN ANG MGA NINANAIS NIYA! MAMUHAY TAYONG MATAPAT SA KANYA.

1. Pakinggan natin Siya: Ang pakikinig hindi isang oassive word, it involves everything, being warned and preparing our minds for action

a. Be warned. Take heed

1 Cor. 10:12-13
So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! [13] No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

b. Gird up the loins of your mind

1 Peter 1:13

Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Hindi lang tayo makinig sa kanya! Dapat

· Discipline yourself - 1 Co 9:27
1 Cor. 9:27
No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Nais Niya na maging matatag tayo sa kanya at sa kanyang pag-ibig,pananampalataya at biyaya.
· Root yourself in Christ and His love - Ep 3:17; Co 2:7

· Be strong in the grace of the Lord - 2 Ti 2:1

· Stand fast in the faith - 1 Co 16:13

Nais Niya harapinnating matatag ang ating kalaban
· Resist the devil - Ja 4:7

James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you

CONCLUSION

Eph 6:10-13, 1 Pe 5:9-10

"Eh , ANO KUNG KRISTIYANO NA AKO?"

ITINALAGA NA AKO SA DIYOS
Consecrated To God

INTRODUCTION

1. Malaki ang kahalagahan ng pagiging Kristiyano.

You and I have been separated by Christ to be consecrated and made holy until He comes.

(hagiazo - hag-ee-ad'-zo} na ang meaning ay “to make holy”,” to set apart for a special purpose”.

Our being consecrated to God pertains to both our standing before God and our conduct before God

The first talks about the status of our being sanctified, the second talks about process of our being sanctified.

I. THE STATUS OF OUR SANCTIFICATION

A. IKAW AT AKO AY GANAP NA BANAL KAY KRISTO.
ALL CHRISTIANS ARE SANCTIFIED...

May 3 tanong na dapat sagutin natin dito?

1. Sino ang ginanap na banal? Who were "sanctified in Christ Jesus?

1 Cor 1:2

2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

2. Kailan ba sila ginanap na banal? When had they been "sanctified? -

1 Cor 6:11
11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

-- Note the past tense

1 Cor 3:1-3

1 And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. 2 I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; 3 for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

1) They were filled with envy, strife and divisions
2) They were acting carnally, as mere men
3. Thus, while Christians may not be perfect, they are still called SAINTS

You and I who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are the real saints.

Because they had been "set apart" to be "God's holy people" it was appropriate to be called "saints" –

1 Cor 1:2

2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Col 1:2

2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

cf 1 Pe 2:9

9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

-- This pertains to our standing before God, we are blessed to be considered His holy people

II. THE PROCESS OF SANCTIFICATION

A. TAYO AY ONGOING BUSINESS HINDI UNFINISHED BUSINESS. WE ARE CONTINUOSLY "BEING SANCTIFIED"... Tapos na aat ginagawa pa!

Sanctification is an on-going process; while we are here it never ends. Christ
is continuously at work in us. We who are in Christ are "BEING sanctified"

Heb 2:11
11 For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,

Sanctification begins at conversion, and continues as we grow in the faith

Paul prayed for the Thessalonians:

1 Thess 5:23
23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
NKJV

sa atin Thus Christians are to pursue sanctification (holiness)

As the Hebrews were admonished

Heb 12:14

14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

B. WE ARE CONTINUOSLY BEING SANCTIFIED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT AND BY HIS WORD.

We are"sanctified by the Holy Spirit inorder to follow Him.

Rom 15:16

16 that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

1 Pe 1:2 (NASV)
1 Peter 1:1-2
2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

Sanctification is
also the work of God’s Word.

Note that sanctification is also said to be tied in with the
Word of God:

Jn 17:17a. "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." -

Ep 5:26b. "that He might sanctify...by the word" -

Since the Word of God is said to be "the sword of the Spirit"
(Ep 6:17), the Word is evidently the instrument used by the
Spirit to help bring about our sanctification

CONCLUSION

b. At, ibinukod kagaya Niya?

"Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse
ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of God." (2 Co 7:1)

Are we perfecting holiness in the fear of God?

18 May 2003NLBC Ang Kapangyarihan ng Pag-asa 1 Peter 1:3-9

Ours may not seem to be seem to be a very anti-Christian society but the encouragement from Peter is as relevant today than ever.
Dito sinasabi ni Pedro live like Jesus even when life is really tough. When life is really hard in Christ you will have the power to love. You will have that Living Hope.
Today, I want to try to answer three questions about this "living hope":

1) What is "living hope?"

Hope, as we typically think about it, is a desire for some future thing which we are uncertain of attaining but this is not what the New Testament says.
a. Ito ay _____________________hope. 1 Pet 1.13 ….he does not mean we should desire it and be uncertain of it. "Hope fully," means be intensely desirous and fully confident that Jesus Christ is coming again with grace for his people.
b. Next ito ay _____________________________________ hope. Living hope is hope that has power and produces changes in life. So Christian hope is a strong confidence in God which has power to produce changes in how we live.

2) The second question I want to answer is, How does this hope arise in our hearts? Paano ito magmumula sa ating puso?

We have hope because of his ___________, We have hope because of the _________________of God’s Word. And because we have His hope, we have new birth. New birth is the radical inward heartfelt change when we change our __________________ for the living hope in Jesus Christ.

3) And how does this living hope empower a person with the power to love. Notice 1 Peter 1:13-15:

How does this living hope help us to love.
First of all, When we hope we are actually pushing out
Second, this living hope helps us imitate Jesus Christ .

Finally, this living hope empowers holy love is by giving us the assurance of God's blessing and care which we need in order to follow through on some of his specific hard commands. There is only one basic reason why we disobey the commands of Jesus: it's because we don't have confidence that obeying will bring more blessing than disobeying.

18 May 2003 NLBC 1 Peter 1:3-9

Ang Kapangyarihan ng Pag asa

Intro. It was good to go home! But the surrounding circumstances around was not so good. Some of my loved ones were sick , not a very hopeful sight. There were less tourists. Less tourists in my town means less jobs, less jobs means less money. Na tempt talaga ako mag-complain but I was reminde by this passage.

Paul also wrote about the lashes, the shipwrecksand the many sacrifices he had to endure.
Sinulat ni Pedro ito 30 years or so pagkatapos namatay at muling pagkabuhay ng ating Panginoong Jesus.

Ours may not seem to be seem to be a very anti-Christian society but the encouragement from Peter is as relevant today than ever.

How can we have the power of the soul in times of great stress and anxiety not just to endure the evil day, but to be joyful and to fill our lives with the fruits of righteousness (Phil. 1:11), with deeds of kindness, with projects of mercy, with labors of love?

How, when your life is in jeopardy, or your job, or your marriage, or your health, or your respect in the community--how can you rise up with joy and bless those who abuse you and devote yourself to labors of love?

We are called to love not only in the very best of circumstances but also to love others even when our own life is falling apart.

Loving in the worst of times takes a power of soul which is utterly beyond us. If that is what we are called to do, then the power has to come from some source greater than the human soul.

Peter does not say "when things are tough, don't fret about others, take care of yourself."
In fact, Peter emphasizes that the tougher the times the greater the need to live a life of love for others.

Listen to what he writes:

Having purified your souls, by your obedience to the truth for a sincere love of the brothers, love one another earnestly from the heart (1:22).

Beloved, I beseech you as aliens and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh that wage war against your soul. Maintain good conduct among the gentiles so that in case they speak against you as wrongdoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation (2:11,12).

Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. He committed no sin; no guile was found on his lips. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten; but he trusted to him who judges justly (2:21-23).

Do not return evil for evil or reviling for reviling; but on the contrary, bless; for to this you have been called, that you may obtain a blessing. For "He that would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking guile; let him turn away from evil and do right; let him seek peace and pursue it." (3:9-11)

Above all hold unfailing your love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins (4:8).

Dito sinasabi ni Pedro live like Jesus even when life is really tough. When life is really hard in Christ you will have the power to love. You will have that Living Hope.

He begins the main body of his letter: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who according to his great mercy has begotten us anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead" (1:3).

Today, I want us to answer three questions about this "living hope":
1) What is it?
2) How does it arise in our heart?
3) How does it empower us to love?

1) What is "living hope?"

Hope, as we typically think about it, is a desire for some future thing which we are uncertain of attaining.

a. Ito ay confident hope.
Noong sinabi ni Pedro sa 1:13, "hope fully in the grace that is coming to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ," he does not mean we should desire it and be uncertain of it. We don’t have to be uncertain because we have complete confidence in the coming of Christ. "Hope fully," means be intensely desirous and fully confident that Jesus Christ is coming again with grace for his people.

b. Next ito life changing hope.
Peter calls it "living hope." What does that mean? The opposite of a "living hope" would be a "dead hope," and that calls to mind a similar phrase in James chapter 2, namely "dead faith." "Faith without works is dead" (2:26), James says. That is, faith is barren, fruitless, unproductive (2:20). So "living faith" and, by analogy, "living hope" would be fertile, fruitful, productive hope. Living hope is hope that has power and produces changes in life. This is what "living' means in Hebrews 4:12 where it says, "The word of God is living and effective" So Christian hope is a strong confidence in God which has power to produce changes in how we live.

2) The second question I want to answer is, How does this hope arise in our hearts? Paano ito magmumula sa ating puso?

One part of the answer is given here in 1.3, another part is given in verses 1.23-25.

In verse 3, Peter says, "we are born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

In verses 23-25 Peter says, "You have been born anew not of perishable seed
but of imperishable through the living and abiding word of God; for all flesh
is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers and
the flower falls, but the word of the Lord abides forever. That word is the
good news which was preached to you."

We have hope because of his resurrection, we have hope because of the truth of God’s Word

And because we have His hope we have new birth.
What is new birth? "By his great mercy we have been born anew unto a living hope."
Have you ever asked the question: What makes you you? What is the essence of your unique personhood?
If you probe deeply you will find that it is not your actions or thoughts or ideas.
It is your desires. We are most basically what we crave. Ideas and principles will be brought in afterwards to justify our appetites and passions.

The new birth therefore is the radical inward heartfelt change which happens when we change our hopelessness for the living hope in Jesus Christ.

If that is true, then a radical change in our desires and longings will mean a radical change in our personhood. Something new comes into being and that is what Jesus and John and Paul and Peter call the new birth or regeneration. In New Birth we cease to put our hopes (our desires and longings) on things that are in the world, and instead place our hopes and desires on God.

2) And how does this living hope empower a person with the power to love.
Notice 1 Peter 1:13-15
Gird up your minds, be sober, set your hope fully upon the grace that is coming to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct.

How does this living hope help us to love.
First of all, When we hope we are actually pushing out greed and self-pity.
When we live without hope we live only for what we can see making us consider only what is good for us. If we live with hope we are reminded that we have Him who truly cares for us 1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxieties on me because I care for you

Second, this living hope helps us imitate Jesus Christ .
You always tend to imitate the people you admire most and desire most strongly to be around. Kids tend to dress and walk and talk like their heroes. And so do we adults, though we are less blatant about it. A person who hopes intensely in Jesus Christ, who longs to see him and be with him, will inevitably start to think and feel and act like Jesus. "Everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure"(1 John 3:3). Strong hope to see Jesus is a strong power for holy love.

Finally, this living hope empowers holy love is by giving the assurance of God's blessing and care which we need in order to follow through on some of his specific hard commands. There is only one basic reason why we disobey the commands of Jesus: it's because we don't have confidence that obeying will bring more blessing than disobeying. We do not hope fully in God's promise. What did he promise? Peter passes on his teaching like this: "Do not return evil for evil or reviling for reviling; but on the contrary bless, for to this you have been called that you may obtain a blessing. He who would love life and see good days & let him turn away from evil and do good." You will always be better off to obey than to disobey, even if it costs you your life. "Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for my sake and the gospel's, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time & with persecutions and in the age to come eternal life." (Mark 10:29-30). The only way to have the power to follow Christ in the costly way of love is to be filled with hope, with strong confidence, that if we lose our life doing His will we will find it again and be richly rewarded.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ - who according to his great mercy has begotten us anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.-- a hope that everyone can have and maintain if you pray this prayer from the heart: "Lord Jesus, I believe in my heart that you were raised from the dead and that this guarantees that your death was sufficient to pay for all my sins and therefore God is for me and not against me and that you yourself are alive today and with me to help forever. And I pray that you will help me now to hope fully in your promises so that I am freed from the greed and self-pity that come from fear, and that I might be driven to imitate your love, and that I might always believe it is more blessed to give (to obey) than to disobey. And so Lord grant me in these times of stress and anxiety to have the power of soul to be joyful and to fill my life with labors of love. Amen.

Eh, AnO KuNG Kapamilya na TAYO?
Intro.
What is the meanining of faith? And,
Paano ko isasabuhay ang pananampalataya na ito?How shall I live this faith?

Faith or pananampalataya.
Kaya
Jude 3
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

b. Tinawag din tayo na faithful in the Lord –

Sa Col. 1: 12 sinabi diyan

To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

c. Di lang faithful in the Lord ang tawag ni Pablo sa atin, tinawag din tayo na isang sambahayan ng pananampalataya. –

Galatians 6:10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Faith is therefore the
underlying principle of all the Christian's conduct...

- Ga 2:20; “crucified with Christ + the life I live I live by faith in the Son of God “

3. Kaya lang napapabayaan natin ito at kalimita’y di natin naiintindihan at parati nating napapabayaan. We often misunderstand faith and neglect it.

Faith INVOLVES THE IDEA OF BELIEF... Yet this belief involves hearing and owning the Truth

Faith is the certainty or conviction that one has in some truth or
proposition.

Acts 8:12
But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Rom 10:17
So faith comes from what is heard and what is heard comes by the preaching of Christ

May 2 bagay na dapat makita natin dito:

A. Nakikita sa pananampalataya ang panananalig. Faith INVOLVES
THE IDEA OF CONFIDENCE...
We must be seen as willing to place our trust and reliance
on someone else and that someone is God.

Romans 4:3
What does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."

1Peter 4:19
So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

Pansinin natin ang words na believed, credited and should commit. Ito ay may idea ng confidence.

B. Nakikita sa pananampalataya ang katapatan. Faith INVOLVES THE
IDEA OF LOYALTY...
We must be loyal, committed, and trustworthy even unto death. Ito ay
patunay ng faith

1 Cor. 4:2
Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.

II. Paano ba tayo mamuhay ng may Pananampalataya?

A. Ipahayag natin ang ating pananampalataya

A life of Faith INVOLVES CONFESSING OUR FAITH...

Matthew 10:32-33
"Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. [33] But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.

A life of Faith INVOLVES LIVING BY FAITH...

Bilang mananampalataya dapat i-conform natin ang ating buhay kay Kristo Jesus conducting one's life with trust in Jesus Christ Kung sa gayo”y nakapako tayo sa kanya - Ga 2:20

CONCLUSION

1. A Christian is one who should take his faith very seriously...

2. Are you "Living By Faith"? Halata ba tayo na namuhay ng may
pananampalataya?

Pag-asa sa Panahon ng Walang Pag-asa
Matthew 28:1-10 God wants to move the stones in our lives. He wants to give us hope.
What does God want us to do that we may have His kind of hope? 1. God wants us to _________________________________to the Him in bright sun or none.
When life is hopeless, when hope shies away from itself we need only need to stay close to the King. 2. He wants us to get involved with __________________o. God fills with hope those who are involved. She was involved with what the Savior wanted her to do even after he died so she was full of hope. She did not miss out on something special in her life because she was involved. 3. God wants us________________________________. When you’re involved with what the Lord wants you to do, you can expect what is unexpected.
a. DO NOT BE AFRAIDb. COME AND SEEc. GO AND TELL

4. God wants us to see that the unexpected which is _____. His hope carries us beyond our__________________________.

5. God wants us to see that this hope requires us to __________________ __________________.

Conclusion:
God wants us to stay ___________ to Him, he wants us to be ____________ with what He wants us to do. God wants us to _________________ the unexpected. Pag-asa sa Panahon ng Walang Pag-asa
Hope in Hopeless Times Matthew 28:1-10

Intro .
For the first few years he was a rising star and you supported him. On that 3rd year he was killed and your way up was blocked. Worst, your being with him was no longer charming but your way out too. Hopeless!
Three and a half years not only wasted, and the bright future drastically changed for the worst. To say that you found himself in a hopeless situation would be an understatement. Today it seems that everywhere we look we find people in what seems to be hopeless situations. Hopeless situations. SARS. Inoperable cancer. Joblessness. We can only imagine what it must have been like for those closest to Jesus between the crucifixion and the resurrection. Some had left everything behind to follow Him with expectation of Jesus becoming the next King of Israel and restoring it to is glory days of David and Solomon. But what they expected and what they got were two different things. If there is one thing we can learn from Easter it’s that God specializes in hopeless situations. On that Easter morning the stone wasn’t rolled away so Jesus could get out it was rolled away so we could get in.
God wants us to see the hope that comes from that empty tomb.
He wants us to realize that He has power over the most hopeless of all things even death.
God wants us to have hope and He wants us to live in that hope.
Many people work and strive to manufacture their own hope, move their stones so to speak, only to see them never move because there are times only God can move our stones and give us hope.
Today God wants to move the stones in our lives. He wants to give us hope.

What does God want us to do that we may have His kind of hope?
Body:Matthew 28:11. God wants us to stay close to the Him in bright sun or none.

They witnessed the crowd go from hailing Jesus as Messiah to yelling crucify him.
They went from setting at His feet and listening to Him teach to standing at the foot of cross and weeping over His cruel death.
Why was Mary Magdalene with Jesus’ mother?
Mary Magdalene had no family obligations to embalm the body of Jesus. She went out of devotion, because she loved Jesus.
They would have missed out in not seeing the hope in that empty tomb. When life is hopeless, when hope shies away from itself we need only need to stay close to the King. 2. He wants us to get involved with what He wants us to do. God fills with hope those who are involved. Noong kailangan nila si Kristo pumunta sila, ngunit noong pinatay Siya nagsitago sila.

Where were the lepers who had been healed? Where was the lame man who Jesus touched? Where were the blind? Where were the dead He brought back to life? Wala silang lahat!

They missed out on hope because they saw him only as a miracle worker doing something sometime in their life! They never saw Him as continually doing everything in our lifetime.

What about Mary Magdalene? She was involved with what the Savior wanted her to do even after he died so she was full of hope. She did not miss out on something special in her life because she was involved.

3. God wants us to expect the unexpected. When you’re involved with what the Lord wants you to expect what is unexpected. Where they expecting to find an empty tomb? Where they anticipating the resurrection? No way! They were expecting to go to the tomb and embalm the body of Christ. But it all changed when they got there and the stone was rolled away. He’s alive and that changed everything not only for them but all the disciples all the way down to us to us 2000 years later on the other side of the world. May 3 mensahe ang anghel sa kanila.
a. DO NOT BE AFRAIDb. COME AND SEEc. GO AND TELL
This is the message of Easter: we have no reason to fear. God is alive. When our life is turned upside down and all seems hopeless, remember God’s specialty is hopeless situations. Once we have been encouraged through the resurrection power of God we’re to share that encouragement with other believers. Then we are to take the good news of the resurrection and go and tell the lost world. I can see the two women making their way up to the tomb with their heads hung low from stress, trauma, heartache and hopelessness. But look at how that changes in verses 8-10. 4. God wants us to see that the unexpected which is His hope carries us beyond our present circumstances.

Dalawang Maria, filled with joy, running and worshipping. Nauna sila sa nakakakita sa kanya. Was it not that in the resurrection Jesus was only reminding them, there is more to this old earth. Remember I am here in heaven prepared to received you. The circumstances around us may be bad at times but we must be tuned into something better down the road. We must place our hopes not in this world but in heaven. 5. God wants us to see that this hope requires us to stay in God’s presence.

Nagtaksil man si Pedro ngunit bumalik siya, ngunit si Judas hindi man lang bumalik sa kanya, Judas went out and hung himself, because he was overcome with guilt. Peter went out and wept because He was overcome with conviction. 2 Cor 7:1010 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.Peter experienced forgiveness like he never knew, and was used of God to help establish the New Testament Church.

Conclusion:
God wants us to stay close to Him, he wants us to be involved with what He wants us to do. God wants us to expect the unexpected. God wants us to see that beyond our present circumstances is a hope brighter than today. God wants us to stay in His presence.

Isipin natin…. Bakit Mahalaga ang Araw ng Kanyang Pagkabuhay?
What is Easter All About?

Introduction

The angels said, “Remember how he told you.”

The women who came to the tomb said that they remembered his words.
And the Apostle Paul tells Timothy to remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead.
Easter is not just an ordinary day because Jesus made it unique.
2Timothy 2:8-remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead.We tend to select what we remember. Usually we remember the most important events and also the most unusual. As we get older our memories will fail us a little bit, but we will usually remember the unusual. The commonplace things we might forget.

For example
I remember it to this day because it was unusual. I had to hold a lamb, isang drawing lang naman, at sabihin, “ This is a lamb, Jesus Christ is the Lamb who was offered for all our sins.”
malimutan. Paul is telling us the events of Easter are so unique that we should
never forget them.
This was no ordinary Sunday. No one else has been raised
from the grave to live every more.

Easter reveals to us that the person who died on the cross was the God-man. He was that unique person on the cross.
2 Timothy 2:8-Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the death, descended from David.Sinasabi ni Pablo dito, this was no usual person who died on the cross that Good Friday. He was certainly all man, He was a descendant of David but He was also the Christ, God incarnate. He was 100% God and 100% man.Do we fully understand that? No, we never will. What Easter tells us however is this, since no ordinary man could rise of His own from the grave the man on that grave had to be God.

Because of Easter, Jesus is believable. We can trust Him

Luke 24:7- the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.
If you would tell me the most far- fetched thing you could tell me and it comes to happen just exactly like you say, I would believe that everything else you say would happen like you say.
For example, if you told me that tomorrow the sun will rise on the West and it happens, you know what you will have my attention when you say something else.Jesus said that he was going to rise from the dead on the third day and He did exactly that. You know what, He got my attention for whatever else he would say. If He can do the most unique thing I can think of, why would I not believe that He could not do anything He says.

Easter reminds us that we have hope. Easter tells us that we can bear through difficult times because He himself was victorious in face of the most hopeless of all things, death. Because of Jesus’ victory in Easter, the bad times we go through in life are not only bearable but also temporary.
2 Timothy 2:8-9…this is my gospel for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal.Paul is saying that I am going through some tough times in my life right now and He is saying that Easter not only makes them bearable, Easter also reminds us of the hope that is in us .Look how Paul says that in vs. 12-If we endure; we will also reign with Him. Listen, every one of us in this room will go through tough times in our life. Knowing Jesus Christ can make those bad times bearable. If in the bad times, I know that there is something good on the other side it has to make the bad times bearable.

5. Lastly…. Because of what happened to Jesus on that Easter, telling others about Him becomes much more important.

vs 10 Therefore, I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus. Ano ba ang responsibility natin? We are told in the Bible that it is our responsibility to tell others about Jesus Christ. Jesus spent His earthly ministry of three years preparing the disciples to tell others about Him.The fact that Jesus rose from the grave makes that telling of others so much more important because it tells us that death does not settle it. With death, it is not over. Since Jesus rose from the grave there is eternal life and since there is eternal life there is also eternal death.Don’t give up on your praying for and sharing with family and friends because of the connection between Easter and remembering Jesus makes it so important that we share the Gospel.

ConclusionWhat is Easter all about? Simply put,
It is remembering Jesus.
In that unique day, a day made unique by a unique person, whom we can trust all that He says, that there is hope better that this, and this hope is what we should tell others immediately.

Isang Asno sa mga Kamay Niya….
Mt.21.1-9
God ____________________
the donkey before even using it. vv. 1-3 B.Makikita natin ito sa mga propesiya ng mga propeta. The prophets tell us that
even that little donkey _______________________________ God’s sovereignty. vv. 4-5 550 years earlier Zechariah had prophesied about this little donkey.John 15:16 Ephesians 2:10
Tayo ay pinili hindi lang upang pagbibiyan ng biyaya o grasya Niya kundi ________________ _________________________________________________________. We have been chosen not only to be given His blessing but also ___________________to serve Him according to His Word.
gawaing banal. He ___________________________that little donkey for His use.
a. Una, __________________________ Niya ito.Mark 11:2. He also prepared this donkey for His own use.v. 7 Kung ang asno ay inihanda upang magamit ng Panginoon kailangang mahanda rin tayo. The donkey was prepared for the Lord’s use and we need to be prepared too.1 Peter 3:15, 2 Timothy 2:15.
He allowed the donkey to
present itself. Hinayaan Niya itong

a. Iharap ang sarili ng walang pagaatubili. He allowed the donkey to present itsel
Willingly 2 Timothy 2:15Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God Yes, He has chosen us but he will not work against us he wishes for us to present ourselves to Him, to be submissive to his will in our lives. b. He allowed the donkey to present itself humbly.
In spite of the importance of the donkey’s role in the fulfillment of prophecy, he still plays a bit part. His job is to lift up Jesus so that Jesus can be seen by the crowds. We must see that we are like that little donkey. We must exalt Christ and make Him seen by the world. The apostle Paul wrote...Galatians 6:13 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mt.21.1-9

Introduction
God chose to fulfill his plan riding upon a donkey and with it is a message for us today.
Proposition: Kung kayang gamitin ng Panginoon ang isang asno kaya ring gamitin Niya tayo. If God can use a donkey in the fulfillment of his plan then just maybe he’s got a plan for us too. How does a donkey become fit for the service of the King of Kings? How can we be made useful for him too?"Transition: May 3 bagay na matutunan tayo tungkol sa asno at ang mga bagay na ito ay mahalaga sa atin ngayon....Una ang asno ay 1. Pinili. Chosen.

a. God prepared or even prearranged the donkey before even using it.vv. 1-3 As they approached Jerusalem... Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, tell him that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away."May pinaglaanan na ang asno na ito.

The prophets tell us that even that little donkey did not escape God’s sovereignty. vv. 4-5 This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: "Say to the Daughter of Zion, ’See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’"550 years earlier Zechariah had prophesied about this little donkey. Like the donkey, God selected us too.
John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Ephesians 2:10 - For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.Tayo ay pinili hindi lang upang pagbibiyan ng panalangin kundi upang maglingkod ayon sa nakasaad na sa salita Niya. We have been chosen not only to be given His blessing but also to serve Him according to His Word. He sanctified that little donkey for His use.
a. Una, ibinukod Niya ito.Mark 11:2 you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. If a man cleanses himself from [wickedness], he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.Have we used our our time and energy only for the Lord’s service? So often we give him the left overs of our life when He desires our first fruits.ILLUSTRATION: Paper torn into pieces of our lives leaving a tiny shred for God.Hindi lang Niya iniset aside inihanda Niya rin ito. He not only set this little donkey aside but.b. Inihanda Niya rin ito. He also prepared this donkey for His own use.v. 7 They brought the donkey and the colt, placed their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them. The donkey was prepared for the Lord’s use and we need to be prepared too.1 Peter 3:15 Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. Sa paghahanda kailangan nating makilala ang Panginoon ng masinsinan sa pamamagitan ng Panalangin at pagaaral ng kanyang salitaSpending time getting to know the Lord in Prayer and study of His Word prepares us for his use and allows the Holy Spirit to work in us to sanctify us for Service. Finally,
He allowed the donkey to present itself. Hinayaan Niya itong

a. Iharap ang sarili ng walang pagaatubili. He allowed the donkey to present itsel
willinglyDonkeys are not known for a submissive temperament, it is worth noting that this donkey presents himself to the master to be used. Like him we must present ourselves to the Lord...2 Timothy 2:15 "present yourself to God"Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God Yes, He has chosen us but he will not work against us he wishes for us to present ourselves to Him, to be submissive to his will in our lives. b. Isang Asno sa mga Kamay Niya….

We have been chosen not only to be given His blessing but also to serve Him according to His Word.
gawaing banal.
Finally,
He allowed the donkey to
present itself. Hinayaan Niya itong

a. Iharap ang sarili ng walang pagaatubili. He allowed the donkey to present itsel
willinglyDonkeys are not known for a submissive temperament, it is worth noting that this donkey presents himself to the master to be used. Like him we must present ourselves to the Lord...2 Timothy 2:15 "present yourself to God"Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God Yes, He has chosen us but he will not work against us he wishes for us to present ourselves to Him, to be submissive to his will in our lives.
Like the donkey we must be satisfied with a humble part in God’s plan.CONCLUSION Ang mga asno ay wa’ class.
