1.What is holiness when we talk about God? Ano ba ang tunay na kabanalan?
Isa.57.15.”For this what the high and the lofty one says,... whose name is holy”
God is holy, absolutely holy. Holiness is the essential nature of God. Banal
Name- stands for character and being.
Without a holy God we don’t have a true GOD.
sa langit “ Holy, holy, holy is the LORD“.

2. Anong ibig sabihin ng holy o banal? Holy means free from defilement, hindi
lang ito ang mere absence of defilement. He alone is pure. God is absolutely
pure.
1Jn 1.5 “God is light and in him there is no darkness at all.

3. How is holiness seen in our God? Paano makita ang kabanalan ng ating
Dios? How is holiness seen when He sees us as sinners?

. 1.God sees us as sinners, separating ourselves from God.
Ps. 5.4-6 “For thou art a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall
evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight :thou hatest all
workers of iniquity.
Isa.59.2 “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God,
And your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

2.God’s holiness demands our punishment.
His attributes will always cause him to do
something.
Isa 53.6 ‘All we like sheep have turnedto his own way and the Lord LAID
on Him the iniquity of us all.
LAID – Heb. “caused to strike upon”

3.God’s holiness is seen in making an INFINITE SACRIFICE to save others
from sin. The death of Christ not only shows His love but also His holiness.
1Pet.3.18 “For Christ also suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he
might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the
spirit.”

Kasalanan. Being holy He hates sin, demanding a proper and holy
payment for sin. Being so, He promptly became, through His Son, the
only fitting payment for our sins.

LESSONS:
1. God is holy and we are called to be like Him, holy.
2. He alone is holy and there could be none like Him.
3. We can only thank Him for though He is holy, He has expressed His holiness by sending his Son, our Savior and God to die in our place because we are unholy.
